Construction Litigation

We counsel contractors, subcontractors and product manufacturers and represent them in any litigation that arises from construction disputes, defective design or construction of their projects, or alleged product defects.

We investigate claims when first made, and where feasible assist in the early resolution of these claims to avoid time consuming and costly litigation.

Our highly experienced construction law attorneys bring claims against sub-contractors, design professionals or others who may be at fault when necessary, and litigate or arbitrate them to successful conclusion.

Civil Litigation and Trials

The right to trial by jury is one of the most frequently mentioned rights in the Bill of Rights – the First Ten Amendments to the United States Constitution. It was clearly very important to America’s Founding Fathers to be mentioned so many times.

The 7th Amendment protects this right in most civil cases.

We represent our clients in courts throughout Florida, including all State Courts and the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. We have tried well over 50 cases to verdict, including a three-month long trial in Palm Beach County, which is one of the longest civil trials of record in that circuit.

Insurance Coverage And Defense

For decades, our attorneys have provided advice to clients regarding all aspects of insurance coverage and coverage litigation. Our firm is regularly involved in coverage litigation. Such matters include commercial and personal lines, excess insurance, reinsurance and fidelity and surety.

For more than 25 years, insurance defense litigation has been the focus of our attorneys’ practice and growth. Consequently, we enjoy a longstanding reputation for expertise in insurance defense litigation and its commitment to effective and efficient representation in this area.

We are experienced in defending lawsuits in both state and federal courts throughout the State of Florida. We try cases defending individual insureds in all manner of claims involving potential liabilities covered by auto, homeowners and excess coverages.

We also defend commercial lines insureds under comprehensive general liability coverages, in product, premises, construction, surety and business auto claims, as well as a myriad of the other species of claims which arise in the commercial context.

We counsel and guide private businesses with large self-insured retention concerning claims, coverage and litigation strategies.

Serious Personal injury

Serious personal injury can occur for a variety of reasons, including car accidents, construction accidents, trucking accidents and many others. In many cases, serious personal injuries leave the victim unable to work or reduce his or her capability to earn income. Typical injuries that are considered serious personal injuries include brain injuries, fractures, burn injuries, spinal cord injuries and paralysis.

A wrongful death may arise where the cause of death is not by natural causes. For example, an unsafe work condition where an employee falls to his or her death or is killed due to contact with heavy equipment could be a wrongful death. Wrongful death may also arise out of non-work related conditions, such as when a fatality occurs due to automobile accidents or trucking accidents.

If a serious personal injury or wrongful death has been caused due to negligence of another, such as due to unsafe working conditions or a negligent car or truck driver, then the victim who suffered the injuries may have a right to receive compensation.

This compensation can include payment for medical bills or payment for the loss of income or the ability to work and for pain, suffering and mental anguish. If you or a loved one has been injured by the negligence of another, it is important that you seek legal advice.
